All items that are generally able to be checked out may be checked out by adjunct faculty. Items that are not able to be checked out are items that are parts of sets, looseleafed materials, reference materials, archives, or reserve materials for extended periods of time. If you find that you require an item that falls into one of these categories for instructing your class, please contact Brian Barnes. The library will purchase an extra copy and check it out specifically for instruction in the class to ensure the “regular” copy will continue to be circulated.

The library has started an “Adjunct Resource Center” located on the 2nd floor near the Reference Desk with books regarding teaching, education theory, and other topics of interest to adjuncts. These may be checked out only by ordinary or adjunct faculty members.

The regular checkout period for books for faculty is four months with unlimited renewals, unless a books has an existing hold or has been recalled by another patron.

If you need a book, article, or other resource that is not available in our library, you can request it via interlibrary loan. This service is available to currently-enrolled students, faculty, and staff. Visit the ILL page for instructions.
