Innocence Projectprovides legal representation to person on post-conviction appeal in which DNA testing can prove innocence.  They do not take cases by phone or walk-ins. Innocence Project New Orleans - post conviction representation of prisoners serving life sentences or near life sentences in Louisiana and some Mississippi parishes. Jefferson Parish Domestic Violence Programprovides legal advocacy for persons affected by domestic violence in Jefferson Parish, including filing protective orders, obtaining social services and help with obtaining representation  for protective order hearings.
